STRANGER THAN PARANOIA is een festival waarbij het publiek op verrassende, soms zelfs confronterende wijze, kennis kan maken met muziek, die, op vele manieren, de grenzen overschrijdt. Stranger than Paranoia maakt een ware muzikale wereldreis.

'Stranger Than Paranoia' is a small intimite music festival that shows any kind of musical disciplines as well as crossover music with other disciplines, with one binding element: improvisation. Started in the year 1993, the festival is held between 24 - 30 december yearly at the 'Paradox' jazzclub (200 p.) in Tilburg in the Netherlands and the last night on dec. 30 in 013. Each night - five nights and an afternoon - there are 3 showcases consisting of totally different music styles; from national heroes till international acts.

The 'Stranger Than Paranoia' festival is combining different styles of music and it crosses borders: from jazz to classical, from Spanish music to avant-garde, from big band to funk, from pop to stringquartet as well as performances for children.
