West End Big Band
The West End Big Band is a full-size big band. The eighteen enthusiastic musicians will set your feet tapping with swing and dance music from the giants of the big band era. Let us enchant you also with some Latin-American rhythms, an occasional rock or funk piece or even a ballroom dance.
Our lady singer shines in unforgettable songs from the Roaring Twenties to the Swinging Sixties.
West End's bandleader Ton van Overdam has his work cut out keeping his spirited musicians under control.
The West End Big Band plays at 8.30 p.m. every last Wednesday of the month at jazz café Casablanca, Zeedijk 26, Amsterdam.
Admission free.
The Wednesday evening before is our public rehearsal night (also fun to hear).
