This band is a collaboration of three double bass players and a flautist.

Imagine the raw, low, squezzy sounds of a stringtrio consiting out of the majestic bass violins combined with the agile breath sounds of the whole family of flutes (from piccollo to PVC contra bass flute!) in the hands of some capable improvisors.

3DubbelDutch brengt zeker geen niet alledaags jazzconcert. De twaalf muzikanten van Drummers Double Bill, Cram en Talking Cows geven een kijkje in de drie dimensies van een jazzconcert.

Wat gebeurt er tijdens het spelen,wat speelt zich af voor én achter de schermen? In 2009 we will be celebrating 100 years birthday of Benny Goodman.
Benny Goodman is to be considered as the ‘founder’ of the Swing Music, which started in the middle of the thirties. Together with Lionel Hampton (vibraphone), Gene Krupa (drums), Teddy Wilson (piano) and Charlie Christian (el. guitar) Goodman developed a kind of music that was revolutionary for that time. Especially the swinging ‘four beat’ was typical. Quickly the popularity of this music came over to Europe and the rest of the World, it was the ‘pop music’ of that time.
